As the 16th day of the ongoing conflict unfolds, Israeli airstrikes continue to relentlessly target the Gaza Strip. Simultaneously, Hamas maintains its rocket attacks against Israel. The Palestinian health department reports that, as of October 23, 4,651 Palestinians have lost their lives, and over 14,000 have been injured.
In Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, multiple airstrikes and explosions have severely damaged numerous buildings. Amid the chaos, local residents bravely work to rescue the injured, often digging through rubble with their bare hands in a desperate effort to save lives.
