Chile Launches Sinovac Vaccination for Young Children, Targeting 700,000 Doses

In a significant step towards ending the pandemic, Chile began administering China's Sinovac vaccines to children aged three to five on December 6. Health authorities estimate that nearly 700,000 young residents will receive the vaccine, marking a major milestone in the country's vaccination rollout.

A CGTN stringer traveled to the region of Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins to explore Chile's vaccination efforts and gather perspectives on the Sinovac vaccine. At a local vaccination center, a dedicated nursing technician expressed hope and determination, stating, \"I hope people can keep coming to get vaccinated so that the pandemic can end soon.\"

This initiative highlights the collaborative efforts between Chile and international partners to ensure widespread immunity and combat the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
