China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) recently hosted an online open house event for the San Gaban III Hydroelectric Power Plant in Peru. The event highlighted CTG's commitment to environmental protection and the promotion of local development throughout the construction process.
The San Gaban III plant boasts a total installed capacity of 209 megawatts, with an estimated annual power output exceeding 1.25 billion kilowatt-hours. This impressive output is projected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 338,000 metric tonnes each year, contributing significantly to Peru's sustainability goals.
Once fully operational, the power plant is expected to supply clean energy to approximately 35,000 residents in southern Peru. Additionally, the project aims to spur regional socioeconomic development, providing a boost to the local economy and enhancing the quality of life for the community.
