The event highlighted the 142-km Indonesia-China collaboration, set to slash travel time between the cities to 40 minutes at speeds of up to 350 km/h once operational.
Over 350,000 viewers tuned in to watch real-time drone footage of tunnels, bridges, and eco-friendly station designs. Project managers emphasized sustainable engineering solutions, including noise-reduction tracks and solar-powered facilities, aligning with Southeast Asia's push for green infrastructure.
‘This project isn't just about steel and concrete – it's a platform for technological exchange,’ said CREC spokesperson Li Wei, noting the railway will create 40,000 local jobs. The $6 billion initiative marks China's first fully integrated high-speed rail export, from standards to equipment.
