Bridging Cultures: CSCEC’s Landmark Project Strengthens China-Egypt Ties

In a celebration of international collaboration, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) recently hosted an online open-day event showcasing the progress of the Central Business District (CBD) project in Egypt's New Administrative Capital. Among the highlights was the 385.8-meter-high Iconic Tower, set to become Africa's tallest building upon completion.

CSCEC's Egypt branch, currently employing around 2,000 professionals and expanding to over 5,000 during peak construction periods, plays a pivotal role in this ambitious project. Hanan Osman Abdelkader, the branch's administration manager, brings nearly three decades of experience to CSCEC. As one of the first Egyptians to join the company, Hanan has become a role model for local women, exemplifying professional excellence and dedication. She shared, \"I'm very happy that I work at CSCEC. This is my home, and my colleagues are my family.\"

Highlighting the cultural exchange fostered by the project, Hanan introduced Mary Raouf, a decoration design engineer at CSCEC. Mary's passion for Chinese culture was inspired by her mother, one of Egypt's first college students to study Chinese. This personal connection mirrors CSCEC's commitment to cultural diplomacy. Through initiatives like building a friendship school, CSCEC provides Egyptian children with opportunities to learn Chinese, thanks to the support of CSCEC volunteers.

Mary expressed pride in contributing to the largest construction project in her hometown, emphasizing the positive impact of such international collaborations. \"Participating in the CBD project not only advances our infrastructure but also bridges our cultures,\" she stated.
