China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM) recently hosted its inaugural online open day event at the Zambia Industrial Park in Lusaka, Zambia's capital, on August 26. The event centered on the appropriate use of resources, showcasing the park's modern cement plant and its significant role in the region's development.
During the event, local host Lulu Wood guided attendees through the comprehensive industrial park, highlighting how the state-of-the-art cement facility contributes to economic growth, infrastructure construction, and the enhancement of local healthcare and quality of life.
Construction of the Zambia Industrial Park commenced on October 15, 2016, and the park began operations on July 26, 2018. To date, the industrial park has paid over 70 million yuan (approximately 10.13 million U.S. dollars) in taxes to the local government and has created 326 jobs for residents, underscoring CNBM's commitment to sustainable development and community support.
