Port City Colombo Moves Forward with Construction Amid COVID-19

Construction of Port City Colombo, a visionary project designed to accommodate over 200,000 residents, continues to make significant strides despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. As Sri Lanka's largest foreign investment initiative, this world-class city aims to be a hub of innovation and urban excellence.

With approximately 1,600 workers on site, the project has maintained its momentum by implementing stringent health and safety measures. Kosala, the safety engineer overseeing the construction, emphasized the importance of these precautions. \"We prioritized the health and safety of our workers by enforcing social distancing, regular sanitization, and comprehensive health screenings,\" Kosala explained.

These efforts have not only ensured the well-being of the workforce but also demonstrated the project's resilience in navigating unprecedented global challenges. As Port City Colombo continues to develop, it stands as a testament to Sri Lanka's commitment to sustainable growth and international collaboration.
