On July 3, the first batch of live cattle from Australia reached Macun Port in south China's Hainan Province after a ten-day sea journey.
The zero-tariff arrangement allows Australian cattle to benefit from preferential policies, reducing trade and transportation costs through large-scale centralized purchases.
This new import scheme enables more Hainan residents and consumers across the country to access affordable, safer, and higher-quality beef products. The imported Australian cattle come from natural, high-quality pastures in Australia.
