In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak in South Korea, Dr. Gu Yong Su, the CEO of The Miin Clinic, stepped up when urgent medical support was needed. Recognizing the dire requirement for doctors, Dr. Gu applied to operate a drive-thru testing clinic without hesitation.
The clinic became a vital hub, testing approximately 34 people per hour. As the demand surged, Dr. Gu, an experienced physician, took on the responsibility of conducting samples—a task deemed one of the most dangerous during the testing process.
Donning protective gear, Dr. Gu worked tirelessly for at least four hours at a time, refraining from drinking or using the restroom to ensure continuous operation. Despite the grueling conditions and the risks involved, Dr. Gu humbly states that he does not consider himself a hero.
