Tajik Student Fuels Cross-Border Trade via China’s Campus Incubator

Sobirov Mustakim, a graduate student from Tajikistan at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, is turning global ambitions into reality through China's thriving innovation ecosystem. Leveraging his university's startup incubator, Mustakim launched a cross-border trade platform designed to deepen economic collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

\"China's entrepreneurial environment gives international students like me the tools to solve real-world challenges,\" said Mustakim, whose platform connects suppliers in BRI member countries with buyers worldwide. The project highlights how academic incubators in the Chinese mainland are empowering young innovators to bridge markets and cultures.

With over 150 countries and regions participating in the BRI, ventures like Mustakim's reflect a growing trend of youth-led digital solutions driving sustainable economic growth. Universities across the Chinese mainland have established over 4,000 incubators since 2015, fostering startups in AI, green tech, and global trade.
