China's rural healthcare initiative aims to bridge urban-rural medical gaps, offering services ranging from basic check-ups to chronic disease management. Villagers in Tibet, where healthcare facilities are scarce across vast mountainous terrain, now receive critical care without traveling to distant cities.
Team leader Dr. Li Wei shared: "Seeing the relief in people's eyes reminds us why we endure challenging conditions. Many residents here haven’t had access to specialized care in years." The program has treated over 12,000 patients across Tibet since 2020, according to local health authorities.
