After six months of global showcases and sustainable innovation, Expo 2025 Osaka officially closed on October 13. The event welcomed over 25 million visitors, with 158 countries and regions and seven international organizations participating under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives."
From solar-powered art installations to zero-emission transport prototypes, the Expo's diverse exhibits offered a glimpse into a greener tomorrow. Many young attendees highlighted the immersive sustainability labs and tech pavilions as standout experiences.
On the eve of the closing ceremony, the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) awarded the gold prize for exhibition design in the large pavilion category to the China Pavilion. Judges praised its interactive green architecture and engaging storytelling, which brought the theme of "Interconnected Earth" to life.
As Expo 2025 Osaka passes the baton, global citizens will look forward to applying these innovations at home—whether it's adopting urban gardening solutions, rethinking public transport, or exploring cross-cultural collaborations for a sustainable future.
