Uzbek Official Hails Chinese Mainland Cinema as Asia Role Model

In Tashkent, Furkat Usmanov, director of Uzbekistan's Center for the Development of National Cinematography, applauded the rapid rise of the Chinese mainland film industry as a beacon for Asia and Central Asia.

"Chinese mainland filmmakers are producing films that showcase very high-level technologies and impressive CGI elements. It is a magnificent cinematic art," he said, highlighting the blend of tech innovation and storytelling sweeping across screens.

Usmanov pointed to the industry's consistent expansion and its ability to tap global audiences. Film festivals across the region have seen Chinese mainland productions win awards for visual effects and narrative depth, inspiring local creators to push their own creative boundaries.

"This growth sets a powerful example for us. Year after year, we are happy to see the Chinese mainland film industry expanding," he added, inviting more cross-border collaborations and knowledge exchanges that could further elevate filmmaking standards across Asia.

As streaming platforms continue to cross borders and audiences crave immersive experiences, Uzbekistan and its neighbors are looking to the Chinese mainland's formula: investing in advanced production studios, nurturing homegrown talent, and embracing digital distribution channels. For young filmmakers, this model offers both an inspiration and a blueprint for global success.
