Sanyuesan Festival Showcases Zhuang Culture Ahead of Global Mayors Dialogue

The vibrant Sanyuesan Festival recently illuminated the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region as the Zhuang ethnic group celebrated their rich heritage. This annual festival, recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, took place on the third day of the third month according to the traditional Chinese calendar.

Festival-goers enjoyed an array of activities including singing folk songs, dancing traditional moves, engaging in entertaining games, and savoring local delicacies. These festivities not only highlight the cultural charm of the Zhuang people but also strengthen community bonds.

Looking forward, the region will host the Global Mayors Dialogue · Nanning from January 15 to 18, 2025. Under the theme \"Jointly Building an Amicable Home for China-ASEAN: Urban Openness and Cooperation,\" the event aims to enhance economic and trade relations, boost cultural and tourism cooperation among cities, and foster a new pattern of comprehensive interconnection.

The convergence of cultural celebrations and forward-looking dialogues underscores Guangxi's role as a bridge between China and ASEAN nations, promoting mutual understanding and collaborative growth.
