New Global South Youth Exchange Campaign Launched in Rio

A groundbreaking media campaign aimed at fostering youth exchanges across the Global South was officially launched on Monday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between China Media Group (CMG), the youth engagement arm of the Group of 20 (G20) known as Y20, and Brazil's General Secretariat of the Presidency.

During the launch ceremony, an ambitious project involving 215 media organizations from 74 countries was also unveiled. This initiative seeks to enhance media cooperation among Global South nations, creating a robust network for collaboration and innovation.

In his keynote address, CMG President Shen Haixiong emphasized the campaign's goal of establishing a dynamic platform for young people in the Global South. He highlighted key areas such as media and communications, art creation, social research, and sports exchanges, where the campaign aims to unite youth in their efforts to drive progress and cultural exchange.

This campaign represents a significant step towards strengthening ties and promoting mutual growth among young leaders in the Global South, fostering a spirit of collaboration and shared development.
