Paris Mayor's Plan to Keep Olympic Rings on Eiffel Tower Sparks Debate

As Paris bids farewell to the 2024 Olympic Games, Mayor Anne Hidalgo has unveiled her plans to preserve the legacy of the event. In a decision that has stirred debate across the city, Hidalgo announced that the iconic Olympic rings will remain proudly displayed on the Eiffel Tower, celebrating the history and memory of the Games.

In addition to this, the Paralympic \\"Agitos\\" sign will be relocated from the Arc de Triomphe to the Champs-Elysees, where it will stay until at least the next Olympic and Paralympic Games scheduled for Los Angeles in 2028. While some applaud the effort to maintain Olympic spirit in Paris, others voice concerns over the use of such prominent landmarks for event symbols.

Even the family of Gustave Eiffel, the mastermind behind the Eiffel Tower, has weighed in on the matter, adding to the lively discussion surrounding this controversial decision.
