CMG Hosts Media Exchange to Strengthen China-Africa Cooperation Ahead of FOCAC Summit

As the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) approaches, the China Media Group (CMG) took a significant step towards strengthening international ties by hosting a media exchange event in Beijing on Saturday. Titled \"A Civilization Symphony and a Digital Dream-Builder: 'African Partners',\" the event aimed to bolster media cooperation between China and Africa, fostering cultural exchanges and mutual learning in the digital age.

The gathering was a melting pot of over 200 participants, including representatives from international organizations, media outlets, think tanks, and various sectors spanning China and more than 20 African countries. This diverse assembly highlighted the growing interconnectedness and the shared vision for a collaborative future.

Prominent African leaders, such as Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadera, and Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan, delivered messages via video. Their support underscored the mutual commitment to enhanced media exchanges and practical cooperation between the two regions.

As the FOCAC 2024 Summit draws near, events like these play a crucial role in setting the stage for meaningful dialogue and partnerships, ensuring that China and Africa continue to work together towards sustainable development and shared prosperity in an increasingly digital world.
