The fifth season of the Sino-Africa TV Programming Exhibition kicked off this Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt, bringing over 20 Chinese TV shows to African audiences in seven different languages. This year's event marks a significant milestone as it features Chinese productions dubbed in Fulani and Amharic, expanding the reach to viewers across 15 African countries.
Co-organized by China Media Group (CMG) alongside media partners from Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Burundi, the exhibition showcases the growing collaboration between the Chinese mainland and African media sectors. More than 20 local mainstream media outlets are participating, highlighting the increasing integration of Chinese content into African small screens.
Since its inception in 2021, the Sino-Africa TV Programming Exhibition has successfully reached an African audience of over 500 million, fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding through the power of television. The latest season continues to build on this legacy, introducing diverse Chinese narratives to an ever-expanding African viewership.
