From August 13 to 19, the Xin Tsing Friends' Beijing-Hong Kong Students Tsinghua Summer Music Camp, organized in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, brought together nearly 30 students from Tsinghua University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Under the guidance of renowned violinist Lv Siqing, the participants engaged in intense rehearsals, preparing for a grand concert that showcased their collaborative efforts and musical talents. CGTN's Enoch Wong had the opportunity to speak with the music camp organizer Wallace Lee and the participating students from Hong Kong, delving into their unique experiences of collaboration and discovery.
From moments of shared understanding to the challenges of harmonizing different musical styles, the immersive camp highlighted the power of music to bridge divides and foster lasting connections among young global citizens. This initiative not only celebrates a significant historical milestone but also promotes cultural harmony and unity through the universal language of music.
