The first special session for BRICS countries of the International Youth Poetry Festival, jointly hosted by the China Writers Association and the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Zhejiang Provincial Committee, kicked off on Friday in east China's Hangzhou City and capital Beijing.
Scheduled from July 19 to 24, the festival will feature 49 poets from Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, and Ethiopia, alongside 23 Chinese poets. They will engage in poetry dialogues to foster mutual understanding and cultural exchange.
