Shanghai Debuts Haipai Couple’s 108-Piece Art Exhibition

On June 15, the Shanghai Haipai Art Museum opened its doors to art enthusiasts with the exhibition of artists Yue Zhenwen and Zhang Chi. This husband and wife duo brings together 108 representative works spanning various periods, embodying the essence of \"Haipai\" — a distinctive cultural movement that originated in Shanghai.

\"Haipai\" art seamlessly fuses the rich traditional culture of southern China with the modern industrial influences that were introduced to Shanghai following its rise as a key international trading port. This unique blend creates a dynamic and evolving art scene that resonates on both local and global stages.

Highlighting the exhibition are two-thirds new pieces, offering visitors a fresh perspective on Chinese landscape painting. These contemporary creations reflect the artists' ongoing evolution and contribute to the vibrant tapestry of modern Chinese art.

The exhibition will be on display until July 7, providing ample opportunity for audiences to experience the transformative artistry of Yue Zhenwen and Zhang Chi.
