Bulgarian Tourists Celebrate International Tea Day in Ningbo’s Tea Gardens

Agricultural tourism is flourishing across China, offering unique experiences to visitors from around the world. In celebration of International Tea Day on May 21, a group of Bulgarian tourists participated in a tea-picking and tasting event at a scenic tea garden near Dongqian Lake in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province.

Simeon Petrov Vasilev, a 54-year-old enthusiast with a passion for tea spanning four decades, expressed his delight in experiencing Chinese green tea. \"It's amazing that the green tea in China needs only a few seconds of brewing to bring out such aromatic flavors,\" he remarked, highlighting the distinct difference compared to Bulgarian teas.

The event not only provided an opportunity for cultural exchange but also showcased the rich tea heritage of the region. Visitors engaged in hands-on tea-picking, learned about the traditional tea-making processes, and enjoyed guided tastings that emphasized the delicate aromas and flavors unique to Chinese green tea.

As agricultural tourism continues to grow, such events strengthen international bonds and promote a deeper appreciation for diverse cultural practices related to tea cultivation and consumption.
