Young Hungarians Embrace Chinese Culture Through Language Learning

In an increasingly interconnected world, young Hungarians are turning their attention to Chinese language and culture with remarkable enthusiasm. Currently, over 30 million foreigners are learning Chinese, and nearly 200 million have already embraced the language globally.

For many young Hungarians, the reasons behind learning Chinese are diverse and personal. Some are drawn to the sense of accomplishment and cool factor that comes with speaking or writing in Chinese. Others are motivated by a deep interest in ancient Chinese culture, a desire to travel to China, or the pursuit of career opportunities within Chinese companies operating in Hungary.

FlĂłra TĂłth, an undergraduate student at the University of Miskolc in northeastern Hungary, shared her passion with CGTN, explaining that her fascination with Chinese culture began at a young age. \"I've always been intrigued by the rich history and traditions of China. Learning the language has allowed me to connect more deeply with that culture,\" she said.

This growing interest among Hungarian youth not only fosters cultural exchange but also equips them with valuable language skills in a globalized job market. As more students like FlĂłra pursue Chinese studies, the bridge between Hungary and China continues to strengthen, paving the way for future collaborations and mutual understanding.
