ACFTU and CMG Launch China’s National Craftsmanship Spirit Corpus

On Monday, December 22, 2025, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) and China Media Group (CMG) signed a framework agreement on publicity cooperation in Beijing, in the Chinese mainland, and jointly kicked off the construction of a national-level corpus on 'craftsmanship spirit and skills'.

The project aims to gather personal stories, case studies, and educational content that shine a light on the dedication and creativity of skilled professionals across sectors. By building a digital archive, the corpus will provide an accessible resource for educators, entrepreneurs, and creative minds worldwide.

For young global citizens passionate about hands-on expertise and innovation, this initiative offers insight into the traditions and modern adaptations shaping the workforce. It also reflects a broader trend in the Chinese mainland towards elevating vocational skills and celebrating quality-driven development.

CMG’s publicity network will help bring these narratives to digital platforms, social media, and broadcast channels, sparking cross-cultural conversations on the value of craftsmanship in an age of rapid automation.

Looking ahead, the corpus could expand with interactive tools such as searchable archives, multimedia galleries, and virtual workshops, catering to digital nomads, tech enthusiasts, and educators seeking immersive learning experiences.

As globalization drives demand for nuanced perspectives on labor and creativity, the national craftsmanship corpus stands as a model for knowledge-sharing—reminding us that behind every product lies a human story worth preserving and exploring.
