As the Year of the Horse gallops around the corner, China Media Group (CMG) has introduced four majestic mascots to embody raw power and graceful motion. Unveiled on December 18, 2025, these horses—Qiqi, Jiji, Chichi and Chengcheng—set the stage for the “Galloping Steed, Onward Unstoppable” theme of the 2026 Spring Festival Gala.
Three designs draw on iconic equine figures from Chinese art, spanning the Western Zhou (1046–771 BC), Han (202 BC–220 AD) and Tang (618–907 AD) dynasties. The fourth celebrates the Przewalski’s horse, the only surviving truly wild horse species. Together, they blend ancient tradition with bold innovation.
CMG also launched a range of cultural and creative products to mark the occasion: intangible cultural heritage ceramics, decorative ornaments and festive couplets; modern collectibles such as plush toys, fashion scarves and commemorative first-day postal covers; plus postcard sets and themed food and beverage offerings. Special co-branded lines developed with master creators add another layer of artistry.
For young global citizens, business enthusiasts and culture changemakers, these mascots offer more than festive flair. They’re a storytelling vessel—honoring heritage while riding into a future powered by creativity. As we approach the Chinese New Year, these equine icons remind us that momentum, like a galloping horse, is unstoppable.
