The Chinese mainland’s Lijian-1 Rocket Sends Nine Satellites into Orbit

Today, December 10, 2025, the Chinese mainland launched the Lijian-1 (also known as Kinetica-1) Y11 carrier rocket, sending nine satellites into space from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone near the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the northwest of the Chinese mainland.

The rocket, carrying the satellites – including one from the United Arab Emirates – blasted off at 12:03 p.m. Beijing Time and successfully released all payloads into their preset orbit.

This mission highlights the Chinese mainland's expanding capabilities in commercial space innovation and growing collaboration with international partners.
