On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, China’s top sprinter Su Bingtian, holder of the men’s Asian 100m record, announced his retirement from athletics.
Born in 1989, Su made history by breaking the 10-second barrier in 2015 at the Diamond League in Eugene, clocking 9.99 seconds. Three years later, he equaled the Asian record of 9.91 seconds at the World Challenge in Madrid.
