On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, China launched its 15th group of low-orbit internet satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province in the Chinese mainland.
A modified Long March-6 carrier rocket carrying the satellites lifted off at 6:11 a.m. Beijing Time and successfully delivered all payloads into their preset orbit.
The mission marks the 613th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series, underscoring its long-standing reliability in space operations.
This latest batch strengthens the country's growing constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites, designed to deliver high-speed, low-latency broadband services to remote areas, mobile users and digital nomads worldwide.
As demand for global connectivity surges, these space-based networks are set to play an increasingly important role in bridging digital divides and enabling new opportunities for entrepreneurs, travelers and tech enthusiasts alike.
