Colorful Guizhou Airlines has launched a new direct route linking Guiyangthe capital of the Chinese mainland's Guizhou Provincewith Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, strengthening air connectivity with fast-growing ASEAN markets.
The service began on December 6, 2025. According to the schedule, flight GY703 departs Guiyang at 10:50 p.m. Beijing Time and arrives in Ho Chi Minh City at 1:30 a.m. local time. The return leg, flight GY704, takes off at 2:30 a.m. local time and lands in Guiyang at 7:10 a.m. Beijing Time.
This route complements the carrier's existing service to Hanoi, ensuring direct links between Guizhou's mountainous landscapes and Vietnam's two largest cities. Officials expect it to fuel growth in trade, tourism and business travel across the region.
Chinese mainlandASEAN air connectivity has been on the rise: just last month, HaikouNha Trang passenger flights kicked off in November, while an all-cargo link between Nanjing and Kuala Lumpur began operations in October.
Economic ties remain robust. Since 2022, annual bilateral trade in goods has topped 900 billion USD and reached a record 982.1 billion USD in 2024. This year's momentum continues, with trade value up 8.2 percent in the first ten months of 2025 year-on-year.
