GravityXR Unveils Three New Chips to Power Spatial Computing

GravityXR Electronics and Technology Co. Ltd. unveiled three new chips on Thursday, November 27, at the Spatial Computing Summit 2025 in Ningbo, east China’s Zhejiang Province. The announcement marks a key milestone in the Chinese mainland’s drive to lead the next wave of spatial computing.

Spatial computing merges spatial data and advanced algorithms to map, analyze and interact with three-dimensional environments. By breaking free from small screens, it powers extended reality (XR) headsets, autonomous robots, smart vehicles and virtual assistants—enabling users to literally explore the world.

Cui Ping, director of Yongjiang Laboratory, explains that the core challenge is teaching digital systems to understand space. “Through environmental perception, virtual-real integration and natural interaction, information surrounds us like air throughout physical space,” she says.

GravityXR’s three flagship chips each tackle a critical hurdle:

  • G-X100: A high-performance mixed reality (MR) processor boasting ultra-low latency, crucial for snappy responses and reducing motion sickness in XR experiences.
  • G-VX100: An ultra-compact solution small enough to fit into everyday eyeglass frames, paving the way for lightweight AI glasses and wearables.
  • G-EB100: A rendering and display specialist that elevates MR visuals and can power expressive facial animations and eye movements in robots.

The summit, hosted by the China Mobile Communications Association and co-organized by Yongjiang Laboratory and GravityXR, drew experts who believe continuous core technology advances will propel China’s spatial computing industry into rapid growth in the coming years.

As hardware innovations like these chips hit the market, developers and entrepreneurs worldwide are poised to build smarter, more immersive XR devices and robotics—bringing the promise of spatial computing closer to daily life.
