4th China-Germany High-Level Financial Dialogue Held in Beijing

On Monday, November 17, 2025, Beijing hosted the fourth China-Germany high-level financial dialogue, marking another milestone in their all-round strategic partnership. The event, co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng and German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil, underscored shared goals to deepen financial cooperation and contribute to global economic stability.

Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, who also serves as a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, highlighted Beijing’s commitment to translate leadership consensus into action. “China is ready to work with Germany to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, open a new chapter in our all-round strategic partnership, and make new contributions to the stable growth of the world economy,” he said.

On the German side, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil affirmed Berlin’s willingness to strengthen financial exchanges with China and broaden bilateral ties. His remarks pointed to a shared vision for more robust market cooperation and mutual investment opportunities.

During the dialogue, participants reached a series of mutually beneficial outcomes aimed at fostering deeper market access, regulatory alignment, and innovative financing channels. He and Klingbeil also took part in the second Sino-German Financial Roundtable, a platform designed to bring together industry experts, regulators, and business leaders to explore future collaboration.

As two of the world’s major economic powers, China and Germany continue to set the tone for global financial cooperation. The outcomes of this latest dialogue are expected to pave the way for more resilient cross-border partnerships and underline the role of strategic dialogue in navigating today’s economic challenges.
