Global Experts Convene in Chengdu for 10th West China–Mayo Critical Care Forum

This Friday, November 14, 2025, the West China 6Mayo International Forum of Critical Care Medicine opened in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on the southwestern Chinese mainland, celebrating its 10th anniversary as a leading platform for global collaboration in critical care.

Over the next three days, top experts from the Chinese mainland, the United States, Europe and other regions will gather to exchange the latest insights on intensive care, AI-driven intelligent critical care, and advancements in research and education. Delegations from Mayo Clinic, West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Duke University are among those driving in-depth discussions and forging new partnerships.

Participants are exploring how AI-enabled monitoring can speed up diagnoses, with interactive workshops on data-driven protocols showing promising reductions in ICU mortality. Collaborative research sessions are also laying the groundwork for cross-border studies that aim to transform critical care delivery.

As the forum wraps up on Sunday, November 16, attendees will leave with fresh strategies and joint initiatives aimed at strengthening critical care capacity worldwide and improving patient outcomes in an interconnected health landscape.
