Wushu Day 2 at National Games: Yao’s Perfect 9.830s Earn Triple Gold

Guangzhou – On day two of the Wushu competition at the 15th National Games, three athletes rose above the rest to claim all-around golds in the women's events. Shanxi's Yao Yang delivered a masterclass in consistency, posting 9.830 in Changquan, sword and spear to sweep the overall title with an impressive 29.490 total.

Yao, runner-up at the 2021 edition in Xi'an, set the tone early by topping the Changquan leaderboard. She carried that momentum into the sword routine, matching her 9.830 score, and sealed her triple crown with the same mark in the spear final.

Jiangsu's Wang Yawen and Beijing's Wei Aixuan rounded out the podium, earning silver and bronze respectively. Fellow competitors Chen and Liu also caught the spotlight, each clinching all-around golds in their own divisions and adding fresh chapters to their young careers.

The 15th National Games' Wushu events continue to showcase China's depth of talent and the relentless pursuit of perfection that defines this ancient martial art. Fans can expect more high-octane performances as the tournament rolls on.
