In a standout display at the 15th National Games in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, Olympic champion Yang Hao joined forces with rising talent Bai Yuming to capture gold for Shaanxi in the men's synchronized 10-meter platform. Their first five dives each scored above 8.5, creating a decisive 30-point lead.
Though Bai slipped on the final dive, the duo's strong start ensured they topped the podium with 461.82 points. Guangdong veterans Chen Aisen and Zhu Zifeng earned silver with 434.55 points, while Tianjin’s Huang Zigan and Yang Ling settled for bronze.
Meanwhile, in the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard final, 2024 Paris Olympics double gold medalist Chen Yiwen and partner Lin Shan dominated all five rounds, clinching gold for Guangdong with 333.12 points. Shaanxi took silver, and Hubei captured bronze.
Despite teaming up just last month, Chen and Lin outperformed the 325.20 points Chen and her former partner achieved at the World Championships in July, signaling a new powerhouse pairing to watch on the international stage.
