King of Thailand to visit the Chinese mainland on state visit

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of the Kingdom of Thailand will pay a state visit to the Chinese mainland from November 13 to 17.

“At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of the Kingdom of Thailand will pay a state visit to the Chinese mainland from November 13 to 17,” the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.

State visits represent the highest level of diplomatic engagement, often including meetings with top leaders, cultural showcases and discussions on trade and investment. While specific details of the royal itinerary are yet to be released, the announcement underscores the importance both sides place on strengthening bilateral ties.

As anticipation builds, business and cultural observers around the world will be watching for outcomes that could shape future cooperation in areas such as sustainable development, tourism and technological exchange.
