At the China-US Sister Cities Conference, a delegation of American mayors kicked off its visit in the Chinese mainland city of Hangzhou with a lively tour of the bustling Dongshan Nong market. Among them was former Prairie View Mayor Frank Jackson, now vice president of the World Conference of Mayors, who explored local stalls alongside reporter Liu Mohan.
"The market was deeply enjoyable," Jackson said, tasting street food and admiring handicrafts. Inspired by what he saw, he plans to explore opportunities for establishing a sister city relationship with Tuskegee, Alabama
