China Charts New Momentum for Global Women’s Development

At the Vienna International Center on Monday, China reaffirmed its dedication to propelling global women’s development. Yin Haigang, charge d’affaires of the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Vienna, opened the event co-hosted by the mission, the Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna and the United Nations Women’s Guild.

Emphasizing the spirit of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, Yin said, “We are ready to work with all parties to accelerate the all-round development of women and create a better future for humanity.” His remarks set the tone for a dialogue focused on concrete progress.

Participants praised the enduring significance of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the recent Global Leaders’ Meeting, noting that China’s experience in women’s poverty reduction, health, education and employment offers valuable lessons for other countries.
