Budapest Unveils Hungarian Edition of Xi Jinping’s Governance Work

Budapest recently hosted the launch of the Hungarian edition of the second volume of Xi Jinping's Governance of China, alongside the China-Hungary Symposium on State Governance. The event drew over 200 representatives from politics, academia, business and civil society.

Translated and published by the Foreign Languages Press of China and the Eurasia Center of John von Neumann University, the volume compiles 99 speeches, talks, articles and instructions across 17 topics from August 2014 to September 2017. It aims to shed light on modern governance challenges and strategic vision.

Sandor Fazekas, deputy speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, praised the book for framing universal questions on balancing development with tradition and aligning national sovereignty with global responsibility. He noted that President Xi Jinping's vision of a community with a shared future for humanity underscores the need for international cooperation.

Yu Yingfu, vice president of China International Communications Group, highlighted the publication's focus on people-centered philosophy, open development and global governance principles, while Chinese Ambassador Gong Tao described the book as a new window for Hungarian readers to explore Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Experts at the symposium discussed topics ranging from China-Hungary governance experiences and Belt and Road cooperation to shared modernization opportunities and shifts in global governance. The event was organized by the State Council Information Office of China, China International Communications Group and the Chinese Embassy in Hungary.
