CMG Unveils 2026 Brand Powerhouse Initiative in Beijing

Beijing buzzed with energy on Friday as China Media Group (CMG) launched its 2026 "Brand Strengthening China Project," unveiling a series of creative and innovative initiatives designed to elevate Chinese brands on the world stage.

“Brands are an important symbol of a nation’s soft power and a reflection of high-quality development,” said CMG President Shen Haixiong. “As the world’s largest and most comprehensive international media organization, CMG serves as a key window for showcasing Chinese brands to the world.”

With 2026 marking the first year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030) and the start of the brand-development phase in the "Outline for Building a Quality Powerhouse," this joint initiative represents concrete action by CMG and its partners to advance the nation’s brand-building strategy.

Shen added that CMG will continue to drive consumption upgrades, support rural revitalization and amplify China’s voice through strategic brand campaigns, helping more Chinese brands gain global recognition.

CMG is calling on partners from all sectors—entrepreneurs, creatives, tech innovators and cultural ambassadors—to join hands in writing the next chapter of China’s brand success story.
