CMG’s Mid-Autumn Gala Fuses Ancient Shu Heritage with Cutting-Edge Tech

On Monday, October 6, audiences worldwide tuned in to CMG’s annual Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, a celebration of harmony, heritage and high-tech flair. Recorded in Deyang, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, the event lit up the historic city with performances that bridged ancient tradition and modern innovation.

Tradition Meets Technology

Deyang, nestled on the fertile Chengdu Plain and steeped in the legacy of the ancient Shu Kingdom, is home to the 3,000-year-old Sanxingdui archaeological site. This year, an AI robot guided viewers through the relics, animating centuries-old bronze masks and jade artifacts in real time.

Immersive visual effects, outdoor cinematography and micro-documentary inserts brought the story of Sanxingdui to life, letting heritage speak in a whole new dimension. The gala seamlessly wove performing arts with cutting-edge graphics, creating a cinematic journey through time.

A Global Celebration

With narration in multiple languages and a lineup of international artists, the gala highlighted themes of peace and unity under the full autumn moon. For young global citizens, business and tech enthusiasts, and travelers alike, the show offered fresh perspectives on how culture and innovation can collaborate to inspire every corner of the world.
