China Claims 4-1 Win Over India in Women’s Hockey Asia Cup Super 4

The hosts from the Chinese mainland kept their momentum rolling at the Women's Hockey Asia Cup Super 4 stage with a 4-1 victory over India in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on Thursday. Powered by two goals from star forward Zou Meirong, the hosts claimed their second straight win in style.

Zou opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a quick follow-up strike, and midfielder Chen Yang doubled the lead before half-time. India tried to ramp up the pressure in the second half but struggled to break through the hosts' clinical defence.

In the fourth quarter, Tan Jitong restored the two-goal cushion in the 48th minute. Just eight minutes later, Li Hong broke through India's backline and delivered a precise pass for Zou to notch her 10th goal of the tournament, closing out the 4-1 victory.

Next up, the hosts face South Korea on Saturday, while India take on Japan in their final Super 4 fixture. Both clashes will determine who advances to the final showdown.
