Zhejiang Snap Three-Match Winless Run with 2-0 Victory Over Tianjin

In Hangzhou, east Chinas Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang secured a vital 2-0 home win against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger on Wednesday, snapping a three-match winless streak in the Chinese Super League (CSL).

The visitors came close in the 15th minute when Wang Qiuming’s shot deflected off teammate Juan Antonio Ros and smashed against the post. Zhejiang nearly doubled the pressure in the 33rd minute, as Wang Yudong pounced on a loose pass from Tianjin goalkeeper Yan Bingliang and squared for Yago Cariello Ribeiro, only for Ros to make a goal-line intervention.

Just before halftime, Zhejiang broke the deadlock. From a corner, Alexandru Mitrita delivered a precise cross to Cariello, whose header found the back of the net after a VAR check confirmed the goal. The hosts entered the break with a 1-0 advantage.

In the second half, Zhejiang dictated play and created several chances but had to wait until stoppage time to seal the win. In the fifth minute of added time, Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere set up Franko Andrijasevic, who calmly slotted home to seal a 2-0 victory.

The win lifted Zhejiang above Tianjin into sixth place in the CSL standings, injecting fresh momentum as they look to cement a top-half finish. For Tianjin, the defeat raises questions as they seek answers to climb back up the table.
