The Chinese mainland's second batch-produced AG600 "Kunlong" amphibious aircraft completed its production test flight in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province on the Chinese mainland. Aviation Industry Corporation of China announced the milestone on Sunday, highlighting a key step toward customer delivery and operational deployment.
A four-member test crew piloted the AG600-1102 through a comprehensive series of checks. From ground taxiing and general inspections to mission system evaluations and high-altitude flight trials, each phase concluded with stable performance and all control systems operating normally.
After a smooth landing confirmed its sound condition, the aircraft departed for Yichang in Hubei Province on the Chinese mainland for final painting. This preparation marks the final stage before the AG600 moves into active service.
The success of this production flight underscores that the AG600 meets its design requirements and safety standards. As it nears delivery, the amphibious platform reinforces the Chinese mainland’s strides in advanced aviation technology, setting the stage for its role in future waterborne missions worldwide.
