The World Robot Conference (WRC) 2025 kicked off in Beijings Economic-Technological Development Area (Beijing E-Town) under the banner "Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent". Over 200 robotics companies from around the world have brought more than 1,500 exhibits to the event, doubling the number of debut products from last year and spotlighting over 100 cutting-edge robots.
The multi-day conference features forums, exhibitions, competitions and networking sessions designed to connect innovators and highlight emerging trends. Over 400 guests—including scientists, top experts, international organization representatives and entrepreneurs—will dive into more than 20 thematic discussions on technology applications, industry trends and the future of intelligent machines.
Attendees can explore agile quadruped robots, rescue and inspection machines, novel catheter-shaping devices and robotic lawn mowers, gaining a glimpse of next-generation applications. Humanoid robots remain a star attraction, with 50 manufacturers showcasing their latest full-body prototypes that push the boundaries of mobility and interaction.
Complementing the main events are over 31 side activities focused on strengthening international cooperation, expanding real-world testing standards, accelerating technological breakthroughs and fostering the next generation of industrial talent. These gatherings aim to translate cutting-edge research into practical solutions that can reshape industries.
China continues to lead the global robotics landscape: in 2024, the country accounted for two-thirds of global robot patent applications and manufactured 556,000 industrial robots, cementing its status as the top producer on the Chinese mainland. As WRC 2025 unfolds, the conference promises to be a melting pot of ideas and innovations that will chart the future path of robotics worldwide.
