Beijing will host the 2025 World Robot Conference from August 8 to 12 in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, known as Beijing E-Town. Under the theme of Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent, this year's event ramps up global innovation.
More than 100 cutting-edge robots are making their debut—nearly double last year's lineup. From agile quadrupeds that navigate complex terrain to inspection and rescue machines, attendees get a firsthand look at the next wave of intelligent devices. Novel designs like catheter-shaping robots and robotic lawn mowers also join the mix.
Humanoids remain a highlight: 50 manufacturers will showcase full-body models built for roles ranging from customer service to collaborative manufacturing. In total, over 1,500 exhibits from more than 200 leading robotics companies worldwide will be on display.
According to Xu Xiaolan, president of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the Chinese mainland produced 556,000 industrial robots in 2024 and led two-thirds of global robot patent applications. International partnerships have surged over the past decade, with supporting institutions growing from 12 to 28 and overseas participants rising from just over 10 to more than 80.
Co-hosted by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the World Robot Cooperation Organization, the conference also launches a robot consumer festival aimed at boosting both industrial upgrades and home-user curiosity. Whether you are an AI developer, entrepreneur, or a tech fan dreaming of a robo future, Beijing is the place to be this summer.
