Beijing Nanny Robot Expo Unveils Smart Home Revolution

Beijing kicked off a game-changing event this week as China Media Group (CMG) rolled out its Nanny Robot Expo. Under the theme Robotic Revolution in Everyday Life, the expo put smart healthcare, intelligent homes, family education and community management in the spotlight – all powered by the latest in robotics.

Visitors got hands-on with an interactive competition that put nanny robots through real-world household scenarios: from monitoring seniors' health to tutoring children in remote learning sessions. The result? A clear glimpse into how robotics will step out of the lab and into our daily routines.

CMG also premiered a micro-documentary series called Hi Robot, which takes viewers behind the scenes of home-service robotics. Featuring interviews with over 30 startup founders, academicians and domestic and international experts in embodied intelligence, Hi Robot paints a vivid picture of how these machines could land in millions of homes across the Chinese mainland – and beyond.

Alongside the expo, CMG released a comprehensive report on industry trends. It highlights surging demand for elder care services, breakthroughs in autonomous decision-making and self-evolving systems. These insights paint a roadmap for where the nanny robot sector is headed next.

'We see ourselves as both observers and champions of China's tech breakthrough,' says Zhou Zhenhong, member of CMG's editorial board. 'Through events like this, we aim to accelerate public understanding and adoption of robotics.'

With a series of expos and competitions already under its belt, CMG is on a mission to bring robotics front and center in everyday life – one demo at a time.
