2025 International Advanced Air Mobility Expo Takes Flight in Shanghai

The 2025 International Advanced Air Mobility Expo kicked off in Shanghai, Chinese mainland, on Wednesday. Spanning 60,000 square meters, the expo brings together nearly 300 exhibitors and over 30 forums and events.

Young innovators and tech enthusiasts from around the world are getting a first look at more than 19 global debuts and 25 domestic releases. Highlights include the world’s first seven-seat, three-tonne multi-purpose eVTOL aircraft, a flying car platform, large fixed-wing drones, hydrogen-powered UAVs and advanced electric drive systems. Attendees can also test eVTOL flight simulators and explore aviation engines and range extenders shaping the future of low-altitude travel.

Under the themes of industry, ecosystem and scenarios, the expo features an international forum on future air mobility, where regulators and leading enterprises will discuss emerging trends. A dedicated low-altitude economy infrastructure conference will unveil a framework study report, offering practical guidance for the sector’s next steps.

Beyond the trade floors, Shanghai residents and visitors can dive into citywide low-altitude activities: a drone light show over the Huangpu River, scenic low-altitude flights around Lujiazui and interactive workshops. Job seekers can explore recruitment in the low-altitude sector, while entrepreneurs connect through project roadshows and partnership pitches.

By blending cutting-edge tech, data-driven insights and immersive experiences, the expo is setting the stage for a new era of accessible, sustainable air mobility around the globe.
