On June 27, 2025, over 300 delegates from China, Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa gathered at the State University of Rio de Janeiro for the launch of the Dialogue of Civilizations Series BRICS Edition.
The event theme, Strengthening BRICS cultural exchange bonds to empower a bright future for the Global South, set the tone for dynamic panels and vibrant cultural showcases that blended tradition with innovation.
Participants included experts, scholars, renowned athletes and youth representatives. Sessions ranged from sports diplomacy roundtables to digital arts demonstrations and sustainable travel showcasesonnecting sports fans, tech enthusiasts and digital nomads alike.
