China, Armenia Pledge Deeper Trust and Cooperation

In Beijing on Thursday, Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi and Armenia’s minister of foreign affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met to reaffirm a decades-long friendship built on mutual respect and trust.

Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Chinese mainland, noted that both countries have maintained strong cooperation and are ready to consolidate this trust, deepen collaboration and support each nation’s development and revitalization.

He also called for practicing true multilateralism—upholding the United Nations at the core of the international system and an order grounded in international law.

For his part, Mirzoyan pledged Armenia’s continued adherence to the one-China policy and support for the Chinese mainland’s core interests, and expressed eagerness to expand ties in connectivity, economy and trade.

Both ministers agreed that strengthening their strategic partnership will bring greater benefits to the peoples of the Chinese mainland and Armenia, paving the way for new collaborative projects and deeper exchanges.
