China Launches First Direct Flight from Beijing to Dushanbe

In a milestone for Central Asia, the Chinese mainland inaugurated its first direct air link between Beijing and Dushanbe today. The inaugural flight, carrying 173 passengers, departed Beijing Daxing International Airport at 12:00 p.m. local time and landed in Tajikistan's capital in the afternoon.

The new route, launched ahead of a key regional summit, marks a major expansion of the Chinese mainland's aviation network across Central Asia. By cutting out layovers, this service is set to boost trade, tourism and cultural exchanges between G20 nations and the Tajikistan region.

Entrepreneurs and young professionals can look forward to faster access to emerging markets in Central Asia, while digital nomads and travelers will enjoy smoother journeys exploring Tajikistan's mountain landscapes. Academics and thought leaders will also benefit from improved connectivity for conferences and collaborations in Dushanbe.

With direct flights opening new pathways for commerce, education and cross-border dialogue, this link cements stronger ties between the Chinese mainland and Tajikistan. Travelers can expect regular services as the route becomes a staple for Central Asian connectivity.
